MEGA RARE ORIGINAL 1973 French pressing of the Jo Jones 2 LPs-record oral history/instruction set on Jazz Odyssey 008. The laminated gatefold jacket has a 12 pages booklet of photos and narrative in English and French (this booklet is only in this 1973 original press). This is an extremely important document : you don't just hear Jo Jones talking about his musical life and the people he worked with, but he also gives drums solos and examples of drumming technique and how other drummers set up their drum kit and played, e.g. Baby Dodds, Gene Krupa, Sid Catlett, Sonny Greer, etc... There is one track at the end with Willie The Lion Smith on the piano !

CONDITION OF THIS RECORD :

Picture Sleeve Gatefold and Booklet are in really very clean conditions, great for more than 40 years old record ! Just look at all the pictures and don't hesitate to ask for more details or photos if you want, I'm here to give you all the answers !

Vinyls : records look visually really very good, clean and shiny, very small light traces and hairlines, more visible on the 2nd record, but there's absolutly nothing suspect at all, it just sounds great, just listen to the complete and large extracts to make your own idea. Don't hesitate for any question and ask for pictures of the vinyls, I'll try to do the best I can !!!

I don’t use the grading system, because of too many  disputes and different interpretations (some say vg for vg+, some others say nm for ex, and finally, nobody really knows ! That’s why I prefer you to listen to extract, taken directly from the vinyl, and look at pictures which you can enlarge). I describe things such as they are, I try to do it the best I can, but you can ask for any question, then I’ll try to give you the answer as soon as possible ! Just look at my feedbacks !
