Description
The Damned Black Album Black and Clear Splatter Ltd edition.
Played three or four times on a decent system - Thorens TD165 with Nagaoka stylus. The record and cover are near mint however the pressing is not brilliant. I think the first disc needs a clean which I haven’t done as there is some background noise. There is a small pressing defect on Side 3 Curtain Call which does play through without jumping on my system but is audible as a knock or clunk. I have tried to picture this but it’s pretty hard to photograph.
It’s a limited edition of 500 from Rough Trade and is I think my favourite Damned album although I find it hard to choose between this, MGE and Strawberries. All stone cold classics in my opinion.
So defect aside a rare and collectible pressing of a fantastic album from The Damned at their creative peak.
