Description
This is a very scarce original UK 7" single by The Damned titled Neat Neat Neat / Stab Yor Back / Singalonga Scabies released on Stiff Records in 1977. Disc with it's solid centre and spotless labels featuring the band's name in gothic writing and a rarely seen release date sticker on the A side - listing the release date as 25 Feb 1977 a week after it's official release and disc is in very clean and lovely EX+ condition with only lightest signs of ever being played. Complete with it's front laminated flip-back card sleeve with a wide angular die cut thumb section. There is a small fold to one of the flip-backs and a very small 8 written on the opening top but it is otherwise excellent but because of this I'll grade it VG++. The gripper rings are moulded at the circumference of the labels and the runouts are hand etched. The only other copy I have seen with this 'week later' release date sticker is in the long out of print book on Stiff Records written by David Cooper, and a copy as good as this hasn't come up for auction before as far as I am aware. The early copies of New Rose had Plug Copy stamped sleeves but this was the only early UK promo stickered issue copy of Neat Neat Neat.
