Description

No intro needed...classic psychedlic jazz and funk platter from the MPS stable featuring the talents of Dave Pike, Volker Kriegel, Hans Rettenbacher, & Peter Baumeister. This album from the Detroit vibes star is undoubtedly his toughest one to catch and is a brillaint mesh of tripped out jazz originals and straight funk beasts. First and foremost is "Mathar"; comped and sampled to infamy and very club friendly. Watch the PBR crowd lose their sh*t as you spin this at the next gig. Huge drums, dizzying sitar and an infectous groove. Also amazing are the title cut, "Mother People", "Teaming Up", "Regards From Freddie Horowitz", and many more. A stellar listen from start to finish and so minty that when I first purchased it I mistook it for a re-press; do the do on sitar funk insanity!
