If It Ain't a Hit, I'll Eat My...The Dirtiest of Them Dirty Blues- featuring Jackie Wilson, released by Zu-Zazz Records (Z 2009) in 1987.  Made in Canada.

*You're in for one hell of a filthy treat with this here LP.  This collection shares the same subtitle and a lot of the same tracks as a Bear Family CD ("Eat to the Beat") that was released in 2006.  I don't know if there is any direct relation between the two releases, but this LP has 7 cuts that's on that CD and 5 cuts that ain't on it.  Before I begin my lengthy description here, let's get one thing understood.  The vast majority of these classic, underground recordings are not "dirty" in that they use innuendo.  They are dirty because their lyrics are wildly obscene, vulgar, filthy, naughty....whatever you want to call it (in the rich tradition of toasting, whorehouse blues, etc).  Now, let's get to the dirty goods.  You'll be treated to two selections of raw, wild zydeco by Boozoo Chavis, "Deacon Jones" and "L.A. Women Love Uncle Bud", that feature plenty of rough-voiced f-bombs and explicit sexual content.  The raw, classic soul of Jackie Wilson & Lavern Baker's "X version" of "Think Twice" is so damn obscene that it's just ridiculous.  The underground Doo-wop masterpiece by The Clovers, "The Rotten C***suckers' Ball" is the ultimate of them all!  Not only is it lewder than anything imaginable, the vocal delivery is incredibly soulful, precise and wide-ranging.  You'll also be treated to a jazzy Doo-Wop tune by The Blenders that stresses an undeniable truth of life, "Don't F*** Around With Love".  You'll be very very surprised by the alternate version of "Chicken Rhythm" by Slim Gaillard, entitled "F*** Off (The Dirty Rooster)"!  This features Slim & Bam's repeatedly sqwaking (like a chicken) a very very vulgar phrase.  Also featured is Snatch and the Poontangs' (Johnny Otis) "Two Time Slim", Chick Willis' "Stoop Down Baby Pts. 1 & 2", Roy Brown's "Butcher Pete Pts. 1 & 2" and Bullmoose Jackson's "Big Ten Inch".*

The Vinyl is visually-graded in VG+ condition. When looked at under a bright light, the record shows a very rich luster and a few, very light surface marks.

The Cover is graded in VG+ condition, just showing some minor edge & crease wear.

Shipping is calculated by ebay at the actual cost for you, the consumer. I don't charge any extra fees for material or handling. International customers, please keep in mind that once you reach 4 pounds (roughly 4 LPs+), 1st Class International is no longer a shipping option, and you must ship Priority or Express.
