Additional Notes:
From the September 1979 Factory Newsletter and Shareholder's Analysis:
This single has sold out its first 4,200 (2,000 labels went down at the Factory..you've got problems). Reprint and press under way even now. First release on Sep 1st '79. Released in September 1979 as FAC 12, Time Goes By So Slow was the debut single by The Distractions. The band had previously put out an EP called You're Not Going Out Dressed Like That on TJM Records, and then signed to Factory for this classic single. They went on to record for Island Records which resulted in three singles and a forgotten album.
