The Doors - The Doors

180g 1LP vinyl, original mono mixes description Details

After the Doors LP Box Set has been sold out / no longer available for some time, the legendary first album is now also available individually in the sought-after mono
Mix as a high quality 180gr. Pressing. At internet auction houses like Ebay, fancy prices are sometimes paid for a new original, since the mono mix differs considerably from the stereo version.

It is the same version that was already in the box, so the following also applies here: The remastering was personally supervised by Jac Holzman, the legendary founder of Elektra Records and Production Supervisor der Doors in collaboration with the longtime sound man of the band Bruce Botnick , under
close cooperation of the three remaining Doors Ray Manzarek, Robbie Krieger and John Densmore. The cutting was done by Bernie Grundmann Mastering in Hollywood, CA.
For purists, there is the original US gold label (also known as a tan label) as an additional pleasure factor.

You really don't need to say anything more about the music. With classics like “The End” (the film “Apocalypse Now” comes to mind immediately), “Light My Fire” (the first single and immediately the first chart topper worldwide) or “Back Door Man” belongs to “The Doors “Without a doubt one of the strongest debut albums of all time.

about us

Our founding year 1998 - long after vinyl was declared dead and long before vinyl was once again celebrated as a cool thing - proves that we are real vinyl nerds. We only started as a small record dealer from home. Later we opened our first real record store and of course our own online shop. Everything out of passion and always with the motto: SAVE THE VINYL. What is not available online can be found in our overseas shop, Frühlingsweg 22. Overseas? Yes. Übersee Am Chiemsee. Right on the A8 motorway, between Munich and Salzburg. Here you will also find a fine range of second-hand vinyl.
We also have a large selection of equipment from many manufacturers. Simply everything you need for vinyl ...
