Following the release of their eponymously titled debut album in January, 1967, The Doors rocketed to stardom on the strength of the hit singles "Break on Through [to the Other Side)" and particularly "Light My Fire". Whereas in earlier trips to San Francisco the band had been relegated to opening slots for more established bands, by June of 1967 they were ready to headline the Fillmore.

The poster was only printed once prior to the concert. It measures 14" x 23 1/16".

The 1st printing poster displays a light blue background and dark green lettering and accents to match the postcard. It is on plain, matte stock and measures 14" x 20". It was printed before the concert.

Condition : VG   The 1st printing of the poster is characterized by a slightly darker blue "band" that runs horizontally right below the bottom pink border. There is a little blue dot just to the left of "Moscoso", and the background of the box is navy blue. "61-1" appears in the bottom left hand corner. This original poster was printed before the concert and measures 14" x 20".
