Description
The Doors Complete Studio Recordings Box Set. This Audiophile Set of all 6 of the Doors Original Albums, plus 1 mono copy of the Original self-titled "The Doors" album( for a total of 7 records), is now out of print and very collectable. It was a limited edition issue of 12,500 sets and this one has the relatively low number 04114. The set is complete with all original inserts and inner sleeves and the 2 page promo flyer/booklet. The records have all been cleaned on a VPI 16.5 record cleaning machine, and each album has been placed into a heavy protective outer sleeve. Most of the records were played by me one time or less on a high-end turntable, except for the mono copy of the debut album, which was played probably around 10 times. Overall I grade the entire set plus the "lizard skin" box as Near Mint. However, I also visually graded each record as follows: The Doors (stereo) NM+, The Doors (mono) NM, Strange Days NM, Waiting for the Sun NM- (couple of streaks on one side), Soft Parade NM- (light scratch), Morrison Hotel NM+, LA Woman NM. With a sealed set, you buy the unknown, with my set you can know before you buy. Any of the defects or marks mentioned in my grading surely are manufacturing issues and the records came new that way. I remember no noise or playback issues with any of these records. The mono album was fantastic, in my opinion. The set will be packed and shipped with care and fully insured for the sale price.
