 Original UK Elektra butterfly label stereo 1st press LP.

The final LP by The Doors, recorded in Los Angeles in 1970 and 1978 and released in November 1978. The poetry pieces were originally recorded by Jim Morrison in 1969 to 1970 and are spliced with live recordings from 1970 and new music recorded in by the rest of the band in 1978. After recording L.A. Woman Jim left for Paris with the project for a poetry album in mind, but unfinished by the time of his death.
This is the original issue with the lyric booklet, with the early A-1 B-1 matrices and 1- 1- stampers of the very first press!
  The Garrod & Lofthouse glossy gatefold sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with some very light edge/storage wear and small areas of discolouration on the outer cover. The spine is intact and fully readable, the plain inner is intact & in EX condition and the booklet is intact, with some light foxing & in EX condition.   The record is in visually EX condition, with only a couple of faint & wispy sleeve removal hairlines and one or two small needle scuffs visible on each side. The labels are in EX+ condition, clean & bright with no evidence of spindle markings on either side.   The sound reproduction is EX, still clear & precise throughout with no loud pops, hiss or crackle & definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some brief background noise during the run in grooves and in a couple of the quieter passages, overall a really great, loud & clear listen.   The matrix nos. are; K-52111, ALLEN S-8 A-1 stamper 1-, ALLEN S-8 B-1, stamper 1-. This is one of the earliest copies of the 1st pressing of the original 1978 UK stereo 1st issue of this album!  
All records are checked on an Acoustic Research deck before being listed and any flaws noted in the listing, so if you have any problems with the record please contact me for a full refund of original price & postage on return of the record (no partial refunds), no quibbles, no problems!   All grades are those used in the Record Collector Guide.
  All lp's are sent in cardboard record mailers with plastic covers and cardboard stiffeners to protect the LP's!!   UK Signed For Postage is £4.50 for the first LP & is the same for up to four single LP's or two double LP's or more up to 2kg.
