Ultra rare - 1970 Promotional White Label Copy of The Doors Morrison Hotel! Vinyl is in mint condition with no scratches. Inner sleeve has some creases and seam tears from use. Album cover has seam openings on sides from use. I've attempted to capture these in the photos.
These rare white label albums were not for retail sale and were usually distributed to radio stations right before the release of the normal production albums.
A little history: Named for the Morrison Hotel in Los Angeles, the cover photo was taken at the actual Morrison Hotel at 1246 South Hope Street in Los Angeles, CA. The band asked the owners if they could photograph the hotel and were declined, so the band members went inside when nobody was looking and had a photographer take the cover picture. The picture on the back of the album cover was taken of the Hard Rock Cafe at 300 East 5th Street in Los Angeles, which was the basis for the Hard Rock Cafe chain in existence today.
