Description
You are bidding on a first pressing of the Doors' self titled first album. This is a collectible rarity as Side One is pressed in mono and Side Two is in stereo, most likely due to a mix up at the pressing plant (not Monarch). The record has been PLAY GRADED and cleaned using the Spin Clean system to remove dust, dirt and static. The record grades at VG+/VG++. It is not perfect, but plays well with a few scratches and some surface noise here and there that is generally minor except in a couple of places. Here are additional details:
Break on Through - There is an audible, feelable scratch that lasts for 1 minute 45 seconds at the start of the song, starting at the lead in grooves
Alabama Song - Has a 30 second audible, feelable scratch
End of the Night - at the end of the song surface noise is intrusive with some pops
Take it as it comes - Audible scratch for the first two minutes
The End - Isolated audible scratches and surface noise on quiet passages
The record plays through without skipping and other than what is mentioned above, plays very well with just some minor surface noise to at least VG++. Sound is very full and rich. Sleeve shows ring wear and worn edges.
