Description
An awesome Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs MFSL Original Master Recording of The Doors. Originally released in 1967, The Doors' self titled debut album ranks among the greatest of all time. This audiophile version was released in 1981. Made in Japan. It is a super clean and complete package with all of the inserts and documentation. Hardly played, the vinyl is in great shape. The album jacket is in near mint condition as well, with only minor shelf wear. Please see the images. I have taken very good care of this over the years, and have always given it a special place in my collection. I did test the audio for this listing and ran it through my computer. Please see the images to see the very clean introductions for each side. The left side of the images show the needle being set down, and then as you move to the right, a small peak for the lead-in and then relative quiet before the start of song one for each side. Image 10 is the start of Break On Through, image 11 is the start of Backdoor Man and image 12 is from quiet moments in the song The End. For reference, a scratch would show as a repetitive thin vertical line that pegs to the very top and appears in both channels. I am being conservative with the NM grading, and this is more like mint condition.
