I'm offering the Doors first album "The Doors". A test pressing by Allied Recording Company, Los Angeles. Released in 1967. Contains the long versions of "Light My Fire" (7:06) and "The End" (11:35). Album length: 43:34, 10 Songs. Catalog #BKS-74007. Matrix #BKS-74007 and B-14160. I've owned this since it came out and have not played it. This has been stored upright in my album rack in my home. I worked in the entertainment business here in Hollywood and got a lot of records for free. Sometimes duplicates. It's in very good condition. The all white jacket is in good condition with a small sheet of paper with typed song titles taped to it 45 years ago. The all white sleeve inside is in good condition as well. Included is a color 8½"x11" publicity photo printed on a sheet of paper and a sheet with song titles and a little album history. (seen in gallery images) Combine auctions and save on shipping.

"The Doors" was released on January 4, 1967, by Elektra Records. It was recorded in August 1966 at Sunset Sound Recorders, in Hollywood, California, under the production of Paul A. Rothchild. "Break On Through (To the Other Side)" was released as the group's first single but it was relatively unsuccessful, peaking at No. 126 in Billboard. Then Elektra released the second single, a long version of "Light My Fire". The album made a steady climb up the Billboard 200, ultimately becoming a huge success in the US once the edited single version of "Light My Fire" scaled the charts to become No. 1, with the album peaking at No. 2 on the chart in September 1967. "The Doors" has sold over 13 million copies worldwide as of 2015, making it the band's best-selling album.
