RARE, LONG OUT-OF-PRINT JAPANESE WHITE LABEL PROMO PRESSING!

THE DOORS  "WAITING FOR THE SUN"

Superb 1978 WHITE LABEL PROMO LP pressing from the masterful Audiophile engineers at Warner Pioneer Corporation of Japan; Elektra Records (P-10500E STEREO). Centerfold of gatefold cover (with inside LP pocket) showcases the lyrics to "The Celebration of the Lizard." The manufacturer's oval Japanese PROMO sticker is affixed to the cover. Includes a pictorial fold-out lyrics booklet exclusive only to this Japanese edition.


The resonating Analog sound dynamics of this gorgeous Japanese pressing, in my view, holds the championship edge on many (if not all) of the recently reissued American releases of the Doors LP catalog. 

 

The Doors third studio album features the massive international hit, "Hello, I Love You;" the tragically anonymous Vietnam dirge of "The Unknown Soldier;" the deviltry of "Not to Touch the Earth;" and the combative generational rebellion of "Five to One."
