Description

Up for auction is the impossibly hard to find mono version of Waiting for the Sun.  Waiting for the Sun was The Doors most popular selling album.  However, the mono version, is the rarest of any Doors albums.  Surprisingly enough, the song Waiting for the Sun is not on this album.  It was recorded around this time, but ended up on the Morrison Hotel LP.  This particular album is the 1st mono pressing from 1968 on the tan Elektra label.  The deadwax matrix has EKL 4024-1A stamped on each side.  The vinyl is in VG- condition.  Both sides of the vinyl have many light hairline scratches and paper scuffs.  The blemishes do affect playback, but they do not overpower the music.  You should expect a mild amount of feedback, but not any skips.  The LP label on side two has a cross lightly inscribed on left side.  The labels also have some very light spindle marks on each side.  This album also includes the original Elektra gold inner sleeve.  The Unipack album cover is in VG condition.  The album cover spine/seams have a fair amount of wear and all four corners have some rounding.  The spine has the most damage, but the title is completely legible.  The front of the cover has a cross inscribed on the upper right side.  The cover also has some ring wear, but it more noticeable on the back.  The inside of the Unipack album cover has some light staining and signs of wear.  The album cover is in great shape for it's age.  The record has been cleaned and it is ready for playing or storage.  Please let me know if you have any questions.  I do not ship outside of the United States.  I can combine shipping for multiple auction wins.  Bid with Confidence!
