Description
On offer here is an extremely rare original album in much scarcer mono by the Doors self titled,their first album.U.K.sleeve 1967.I never grade any record as M/M but this album comes as close to mint in most respects definitely EX+/EX+It is on the Electra Label EKL 4007.Just look at the photographs.This music is simply awe-inspiring with tracks like Light my fire,Crystal Ship and The End used in the film Apocalypse Now.Timeless music in my opinion.
Labels
The orange labels are clean and bright with no writing or initials .There is hardly any spindle wear which shows the record has only been played a few times in single figures.
Vinyl
This is a stunning example.Even under the strongest light I could not see any marks and certainly no jumps or clicks.It plays without any background noise and I could not discern any crackle or background noise between the tracks.Just to be safe it has been cleaned by a professional cleaning machine which cost £1000s but it was not worth me spending the money doing this.
Sleeve
A brilliant example.The sleeve is very fragile and wears easily but all the edges are bright and crisp and the spine is totally unworn with all the writing clearly visible.I have never seen it like this.On the front of the sleeve there is slight creasing on the right but I am being very picky in mentioning this,hardly anything to worry about.The rear of the sleeve has a difficult to see crease on the top right but you can barely see it.Bearing in mind this record is nearly 50 years old,I was amazed at the quality. Overall this will not disappoint a winning bidder and there is a low start to encourage everyone to bid.It goes without saying that if anyone is disappointed, and I cannot see they would be, a full refund is offered.
Postage
I will ship worldwide but sadly will have to exclude Russia and Ukraine owing to parcels being lost on a regular basis.Also will ship to Greece and Italy but winning bidders will have to be patient because it can take weeks for parcels to arrive.I am offering free postage in the U.K.
