Description

The record you are viewing is part of a collection acquired through a successful auction bid.  The product purchased is from a deceased record store owner whose doors closed circa 1970, having made a run of it during the 60's.  An incredibly large volume of LPs remained, many in new (sealed) or pristine condition and properly stored.  These will comprise the bulk of offerings I will be posting on eBay.  With a vast and well preserved inventory, it will take time to sift through and uncover the many hidden gems that await.  My goal is to present these finds to eBay buyers in a timely and systematic manner.  I am aware finds of this nature are indeed rare, but the fact is, the records I will be listing have sat undisturbed for over 40 years waiting to be rediscovered, shared and enjoyed.  I hope you will find some items you've been wanting and can be part of, what I feel, is an historical find.   All items kept in smoke-free, pet-free environment.
Prestige deep groove MONO vinyl LP 7066 (RVG in dead-wax, W. 50th St NYC address) - released 1956
NM vinyl appears unplayed, no handling or play marks, clean labels. Play test on NAD C555 turntable revealed quiet and clear analogue sound.  I detected five or so vinyl inherent isolated minor pops over the two sides.  An excellent pressing and quality Van Gelder recording on this early Brookmeyer release.  Laminated cover is VG +.  Some shelf wear, a 1/2" split top seam (see photo), small paper curl upper rear left corner (see photo), small nick lower right corner, and a small square adhesive remnant rear center throat.  Some light edge wear.  Overall, a well made and sturdy sleeve for holding this special LP.
