Description

An original 1st pressing on Liberty from 1962. Do bear in mind this LP was 1st released on London Records a couple of years earlier. Matrix 1N/1N. Tax Code "ZT" = 1962. Stampers 1A/1-G placing it amongst the 1st few thousand copies on Liberty. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original 1962 Ernest J Day cover. Also included is the original Emitex inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Vg+/Vg) In great condition and looks to have only seen a moderate level of use. There are a few light marks per side - nothing troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly VERYGOOD+ level of playback with a couple of deviations. Plays pretty good for 1962. It's not perfectly quiet, but good enough to fully appreciate this early Rock N'Roll. There's elevated background in a few tracks 'Let Me Go'/'Pretty Girl'/'Remember'/'Bo Weevil' - but it doesn't stop you enjoying these tracks. Cochran was no slouch...it's a great player and there are many classics on this release. Enjoy!
Cover (Ex-) In great shape and has been looked after down the years. Nice and flat front without creasing. The rear seems to have avoided the worst of the ageing that so often afflicts these early covers. There's a bit of damage to bottom the flipback - but it's not all that noticeable. Edge wear is very light and the spine is pretty much 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.

Emitex (Vg) A bit aged, but no splits.
