This NEAR MINT earliest possible pressing of their impressive debut album dates from initial December 1971 release and is on the EMI/Harvest label: SHVL 797
Matrix numbers: SHVL 797 A-1U & SHVL 797 B-1U
SHVL 797 A//2 & SHVL 797 B//2 are scratched out in each respective run-out.
Stamper codes: 1/G & 1/G
Disc weight: 143g
Housed in a textured 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed gatefold cover, comeplete with its original poly-lined Harvest advertising inner-sleeve.

Both are bright and unblemished with just two faint spindle trails to the side 2 centre hole.
Visual: NEAR MINT
Pristine deep-gloss playing surfaces which are 'as new' and totally unmarked in strong daylight and reveal just a few harmless wispy paper hairlines directly beneath my powerful halogen light.
Sound Quality: MINT
Played once, possible twice at most, my single careful play-check at volume confirmed the sound quality to be superb & flawless throughout.
Cover: EXCELLENT +
A superb exmaple of this lavish cover. apart form a touch of shelfwear to the lower corners and a few tiny pushes to the rear opening edge is perfectly clean and unworn, inside & out. All seams are unstressed and the spine is clean, square and fully worded.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT +
Clean & flat with just a few light wrinkles from storage but no writing, tears or seam splits.
