The Electric Prunes   -   Underground    (SEALED REPRISE MONO)   R - 6262

This is a SEALED original 1967 U.S. Reprise Mono pressing of The Electric Prunes psychedelic 2nd lp "Underground". HOLY REVERB, BATMAN!! This is truly a pristine copy up and down the line. These guys always worked best (at least for me) when they were covering other great tunes (like say.... Gerry Goffin/Carole King's "I Happen To Love You"). I remember buying a Canadian stereo version of this lp at Sam's (The Record Man) in 1969 for $0.49, even cheaper than the 59 cent price tag still on the shrink of this one. THIS LP MAY BE A PROMO........SEE COVER GRADING SECTION!!!!

Dead wax has stampings/etchings that I cannot see as the lp is sealed

Vinyl visual Grading:  Assumed NM as this lp is a flat, factory sealed copy.

Vinyl play Grading:  Assumed NM as this lp is a flat, factory sealed copy.

Cover visual Grading:  VG+/NM on this heavy cardboard paste-over cover with tight seams/spine and fairly sharp corners.  The shrink is still ALL THE WAY intact which I find just incredible. Proper breather holes front and back. There are two stickers on the upper right front. One is a price tag and the other is a metallic gold sticker that can only be partially seen. This sticker has the word PROMOTIONAL and what suspiciously appears to be a Columbia records????!!!!! logo below it. If you look closely at the 4th picture, you will see what I am writing about (it is an upside down shot, so the logo is above the word PROMOTIONAL). IF ANYONE CAN OFFER INFO ON THIS, I WOULD TRULY APPRECIATE IT. I HAVE SEEN ONE OF THESE STICKERS ONCE BEFORE (OH SO LONG AGO) AND I WAS ALWAYS UNDER THE IMPRESSION IT WAS EITHER A RECORD CLUB THING OR A MARKETING THING. Oh yeah......the only reason that I put a VG+ on this cover grading is that the corners are not factory sharp, but they are pretty damn close.

NOTE: THE LABEL COULD BE ONE OF THREE:

1. Tri-colour with steamboat   2. Two-tone with steamboat    or  3. White Label with steamboat

I have no idea what inner sleeve will be found upon opening, but I suspect that it may be a REPRISE branded paper inner.

Hello all. My name is Jamie and I have been collecting records for 35+ years. It is high time to sell off my dobles (of which I have hundreds), and also some items that are no longer of interest to me. My musical tastes run all over the map so there should be something for everyone depending on the particular day.  My goal is to become an HONEST, TRUSTED and RELIABLE provider of EXCELLENT quality vinyl and cds.  The grading system I employ for vinyl will be as follows:

NM:  Virtually unmarked / considered either RARELY PLAYED, AS NEW OPENED, or record could still be SEALED.

VG+:  NO scratches/scuffs. At most a few light surface blemishes which have VERY LITTLE or NO effect on fidelity.

VG:  Used but CERTAINLY NOT abused, perhaps extremely light surface scratching/scuffing causing noise which DOES NOT significantly compromise the fidelity of the music

G:   There will be visible marking and noise evident but the record will still be listenable and enjoyable, depending on your ears.

I do not use the Mint grading since there really is no such thing as perfection. Also, I will NOT sell noisy vinyl (Fair/Poor gradings) UNLESS I feel that there is significant historical and/or collector interest in the item.

ALL records will have been visually graded under BRIGHT light and play graded on a Thorens TD165 table with little used Shure cartridge (at about 1.5 grams) and JBL reference headphones with the Treble set HIGH. This play-grading system masks very little so rest assured that my descriptions will be ACCURATE.

All of my listings will have the particulars detailed (ie. any blemishes, detail concerning condition of vinyl, cover, etc.). All records will be shipped in new or top-condition recycled record mailers with well padded corners and extra stiffeners. Original inners will be included if available, and all vinyl/covers will be held within a poly outer (vinyl will be outside of cover).

I will not be held responsible for any items that are lost or damaged in transit, AND NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED UNDER THESE CIRCUMSTANCES. (NO EXCEPTIONS)

I am a reasonable person. If you have issue with any purchased item, please work with me to reach a solution that will be to your liking.  I offer money back guarantees including the original selling price of the item + shipping fees already paid. I will not refund the cost incurred by you to ship the item back to me. ALL bidders with less than 10 positive feedbacks MUST contact me first BEFORE bidding.

TAKE NOTE: SHIPPING IS NOT $4 BUT AS OUTLINED BELOW

SHIPPING/HANDLING:  Since I will be shipping from Canada (terribly expensive postal rates), postage will be flat rate as follows:

                 1 LP anywhere in Continental U.S./Canada - $7                               1 LP Overseas (U.K and Japan ONLY!) - $12

It costs me MORE THAN TWICE the $4 listed below to post an album, so I have to set the above costs.  Multiple items will be quoted upon request!  Generally, it should be about $2 more per lp shipped. These shipping/handling rates are still DEFINITELY LESS than my actual costs.  The countries listed in these shipping rates are the only countries that I will ship to (NO EXCEPTIONS.....well, maybe...but you will have to contact me first FOR SURE!). Feel free to ask questions at any time. No question will go unanswered. I have done A LOT OF VINYL BUYING on ebay and have encountered pretty much every conceivable issue.

On occasion, I will be listing cds. All of the cds will have their particular condition detailed within the listing. Shipping for cds will be $3 within Canada/U.S. and $5 to U.K./Japan. I will, of course, offer shipping/handling cost breaks on multiple items BUT since I am shipping from Canada (where we live with NOTORIOUSLY high postal rates), you may not receive the price break that you are hoping for.   AGAIN, being a reasonable person, I will be absorbing some of the costs of postage and ALL of the costs of shipping materials.

Payment by PayPal.  Payment required within 10 days of auction end. Shipment will be made within 48 hours of receipt of payment (I can only make it to the Post Office every other day).

NO REFUNDS will be issued for sealed items once they are opened.
