Originally released in 1985, This Nation’s Saving Grace was The Fall’s eighth studio album, and their second issued through Beggar’s Banquet.
Among the finest records of Mark E. Smith and co’s catalogue - and indeed the entire ‘80s - it found the group drawing from the well of primal rock ‘n’ roll, playing with an inspiration and muscular spontaneity which to this day remains both unique and challenging.
Along with the original album, this expanded double-LP features Schtick - Yarbles Revisited, a separate release compiling singles and Peel Sessions from the era, as well as Ma Riley, which made its debut on the 2011 CD box set.
Mastered from HD files transferred from the original analogue tapes, this terrific bundle is sure to delight the post-punk legends’ loyal legion of followers.
