NOTE:  This was the initial record release for the Evolution label.  “Five O’Clock Traffic” was not included on the group’s highly sought-after LP Phases and Faces.

About the group:

From Grand Rapids, Michigan, this outfit would later evolve into Rock Garden.  Lead vocalist Joe McCargar and guitarist Bob Geis were high school mates playing in a local band. When their existing drummer and guitarist quit, shortly before a gig, they drafted in Steve Thrall, with whom they immediately struck up an accord. In the days that followed, David Idema – a family friend – and Ron Bera were added and the band began to rehearse extensively.

They soon caught the eye of a booking agent who got them a support slot for U.K. duo Harper and Rowe, who were doing a U.S. promotional tour, at which time the group adopted the name The Fredric on their way to the first gig in Fredric, Michigan.  They soon developed a strong local reputation, and opened shows for The Box Tops, Tommy James and the Shondells, and Yellow Balloon, amongst others.

Condition:   EXCELLENT with 100% of original gloss.  Has been played a very small number of times, perhaps once or twice, and handled with care.  Fidelity is superb. 

Labels display slight rubbing but are otherwise clean with no writing, stickers, stains, or other issues.  You will be hard pressed to find a nicer copy anywhere.
