I have owned and operated new & used record stores for close to 40 years in both Oregon and California.

My personal collection consists of 2,000 plus vinyl records.

Our grading is conservative. I check each record offered for sale, visually, for any defects such as scratches, scuffs, and center-spindle ring wear before we list it. I check the cover for split seams, drilled holes or any other markings such as “Promotional copy/ Demonstration copy”, split seams, seams that have been repaired with clear or magic tape, writing, or stickers.

If the record appears to have any of the aforementioned defects I will play it and note my findings in the remarks section of the listing. Likewise we will list defects on the cover in our listing.

When you purchase a record we want you to be satisfied with the item. It isn’t possible or practical for us to play each record that we list. A visual grading of a record, in our experience, is about 98% accurate as to the condition of a record. In the rare case of a pressing defect that we can’t see or needle damage that is not visible or cover damage that we overlooked, we have a full money back policy that includes the cost of the item you purchased plus Shipping and Handling. You only need to let us know.

Shipping and handling. Before packing a record we check both the record and the cover again. We place the record in a clean inner sleeve and insert the record and the cover in a clean 3 mil plastic outer sleeve . At that point the item is ready to be packed. We use only new boxes designed specifically for mailing records along with a new cardboard insert that lies on top of the cover.

We cannot mail on Saturdays or Sundays.
