Description
Don't miss this chance to own this very rare Iowa garage band rocker record. It's The Fabulous Thunderbolts' "My Girl Sue" on the Poverty Record Label released in 1965. "Sue" and the "b" side, " I Wanna See You Again" are both heavy guitars & drums with vocals having that true Midwest garage-band sound. Both are band original songs. They were one of the hottest Iowa bands in the 60's, having opened Iowa performances of The Byrds, Guess Who, Lou Christe, The Champs and Beau Brummels. This is the only commercially released disc this garage band ever had. It was recorded at the Sears Recording Studios in Omaha. In
2000, The Fabulous Thunderbolts were inducted in the Iowa Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
The Poverty disc (both sides) is graded at VG in looks and VG++ in sound. It plays extremely well, with very little background noise. It comes in the original Sears Recording Studio heavy green sleeve. This record is very hard to find, with only a few ever coming up for sale over the years. Good luck.
