Description

Very 1st press of Grotesque on the UK Rough Trade label. Deadwax deets..."""A PORKY PRIME CUT ROUGH 18 A1 & A PORKY PRIME CUT U THOUGHT IT'D BE GREAT WOE WOE ETC ETC ROUGH18 B1 EG"". For 1980 this is a very heavy pressing - very sturdy indeed. The vinyl comes housed in an original unlaminated textured cover. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.

Vinyl (Ex+) In fantastic condition and hard to imagine bettering..very very light use. Under close inspection we struggled to make out a single mark. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. in fact, its difficult to find fault wit this copy it plays superb. Excellent clarity and resolution - no doubt George Peckahm's involvement is telling... Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Interference is practically non-existent. We couldn't detect more than a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments [literally]. FINAL UPGRADE - you won't improve on this.

Cover (Ex) A difficult one to find in top condition due to the absence of lamination. This example is in very rude health! Lovely clean front and back without heavy handling or rips, and only a couple of minor creases. It seems to have largely escaped the ageing process, not totally, but mostly. Edge wear is reasonably light and the text on the spine is mostly still legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity, particularly considering it's this 1st issue release.
