The Fendermen - Mule Skinner Blues - Soma MG 1240 - 1962 Original
This record was part of my late friend's collection, which consisted of original records from the 50's and 60's. I had this LP authenticated today by several dealers and collectors at a local record show, so I believe it to be the original 1962 release.
The disc has nice shiny vinyl, with several light surface marks and scuffs and some scuffs in the dead wax. It would normally grade Very Good Plus.
But here's the fly in the ointment: There is a hairline crack on side 1. The crack extends from track # 4 up to the label edge (see images). The crack is not thru the record - there is no evidence of it on side 2. It can be felt with a fingernail and makes a faint click when playing.
The jacket grades Very Good Minus - it has a tiny tear on the front, a small staple hole on front upper left corner, and excessive staining on the back side - it has no seam splits but does have some edge wear.
So, I'm listing it for only $9.99 because of the condition, and we'll see where it goes from there. If nothing else, it can fill that hole in your collection until a better copy comes along.
