The Flock – Dinosaur Swamps, 1970 LP CBS S 64055.

I bought this LP from a lady in her 70s who used to work as a P.A. to a ‘Bigwig’ at CBS Records in around 1969-1971. She had nothing to do with the musicians or the recording process and told me that she wasn’t actually that interested. Sometimes people would give her the latest LP and urge her to give it a listen at home. Sometimes she would listen – often she would not. Annoyingly – she did not have all that many as usually she said no!! I bought a few LPs and quite a pile of Demo singles from her and although a handful showed signs of use, most did not. They simply came home and were put in a box with all the others. They have moved house three times and been in the attic and a variety of cupboards and finally she happened to spot my advert in the local magazine and gave me a call. This looks to be one that got one listen at most and was never touched again!

It is impossible to be an expert in all realms of collecting, and I am honestly representing this item to the best of my knowledge and ability. If the item has a fault then I have mentioned it. I ask that you read the description and examine the photos carefully. I also encourage you to ask any questions you may have during the auction to help clarify identification or condition, as I may inadvertently omit information that you as a collector feel is important.          

 If after you receive the item there is any problem at all please let me know BEFORE leaving feedback or leaving a low Item As Described rating.  If you do not let me know of a problem I have no way of knowing what may have been wrong and I really do want to sort it out.                                                                                                  

I am not able to provide scans of paper items and I have no facility to record / copy any records.

CONDITION.  The majority of items that I list are between forty and sixty years old.   Some are older and some may be a few years younger.  I have described the condition of the item in my text but where applicable I have also ticked the 'used' box as even where an item is 'perfect', it is very old and logic says it must have been handled and probably used at some time over the decades!

ALL of my AUCTION ITEMS are now listed with basic / second class POSTAGE INCLUDED in the UK.

Despite the Free P&P notice shown on this listing it is not actually free to post of course! I have to pay to post them and each week / month / year I pay many thousands of pounds to my local post office. But for UK bidders the price you see at the end of the auction is the total price you pay.    If by some remote chance anyone out there - including the Bods at eBay who came up with the Free P&P notice - can tell me where you really can post items for free I would really LOVE to know.

DELIVERY TIMES.  Although I have ticked the Royal Mail 2nd Class Standard option, please note that this service is reliable and often is unexpectedly fast.   Many customers receive their item within 48-60 hours of paying, and so please disregard the 'estimated delivery time' stated near the top of this page - which I have no control over.

Upate - April 2015 - Each year at this time the Royal Mail increases its prices. I have had to increase the cost of a few items by a small amount.  BUT -  new Large Letter rate means that I have been able to reduce prices for the majority of the items that I sell.

TRACKING NUMBER.    If an item sells for more than £40, (or for a package that has a total value of more than £40) it will need to be sent with a Tracking Number - the Royal Mail's International Tracked service.  This costs an additional £5 and that price will be added so that both you - the Buyer - and myself are covered under the buyer protection policy.

PACKAGING.    Please note that all of my items are well-packed in either board-backed enveloples, thick card or in boxes, and then wrapped in good quality brown paper.   I do not make any separate charge for packaging materials - everything is included in the final price. Many of my feedback comments mention my good packaging and I will of course continue to meet my own standards.

UK WINNERS - I still accept and am very happy to receive cheques and postal orders as payment methods, as well as PayPal.

OVERSEAS BIDDERS - Payment is to be made in GB Pounds, as the item is listed in pounds. Please use PayPal via the link on the completed auction page.  If you do not use PayPal and want to mail payment you MUST contact me before bidding so so we can agree the payment method in advance.

PayPal e-cheque Payments.   Please note that I will only send your item out once the payment has cleared.   In the past I have sent them straight away with no problem but in November 2014 I have had two 'bounce' in one week and from now on I will follow the PayPal instruction not to send the item until I am notified that is OK to do so.
