Description
This is a sealed mint original pressing of the self titled first LP released in 1968 on ABC Records by the The Fraternity of Man.
The band only released the one LP for ABC Records, which was a record company cut out as indicated by the cut out hole evident in the top left corner of the cover, and consequently there would have been no subsequent pressing on that label. The LP contains the group's sole hit song, Don't Bogart Me, which was released the following year as part of the soundtrack for the movie, Easy Rider. The band included as members, lead guitarist, Elliot Ingber, former member of The Mothers of Invention, and drummer Richie Hayward, later a member of Little Feat.
The cover is completely sealed but there is some minor corner wear on all of the corners where shrink is slightly open or missing. There is a small section of shrink missing at the top left corner near the spine. There is also some wear of about an inch on the bottom seam near the mouth where shrink opened. There is no visible wear along the top seam or the spine except a small wear spot on the top seam where exposed near spine. Overall the cover is still in excellent condition.
The LP is being sold with no reserve and payment is expected within 3 days of close of auction.
Shipment of the LP by media mail costing $4 per album including tracking is only made to paypal confirmed addresses in the United States. If buyer bids upon and wins more than one item the buyer needs to wait for invoice to be issued showing the combined lower shipping cost. Return of the LP is only permitted if returned sealed.
