Description
This is a mega-rare first pressing of the Germs (GI) self-titled album from 1979 on the Slash label. Many sellers are mistakenly listing SECOND pressing copies as first pressing. There were two pressings in 1979. The first, like this copy, had covers with plain, cardboard-color interiors, printed inserts containing liner notes, and plain white sleeves. The second pressing had covers with white interiors and sleeves that were printed with liner notes instead of the inserts.
I do NOT have the insert for this record, and I believe the inner paper sleeve may be a replacement, as photos I've seen online show the original sleeve to be plain white.
This copy is in EXCELLENT condition. The vinyl is shiny and has only one surface hairline mark and a couple of other tiny specks that do not affect play. Plays smoothly all the way through.
The cover is also in excellent condition, with only very slight partial ring wear, some minor wear at edges/corners, and a small set of initials on the lower back corner in ball point pen. Label appears a bit lighter on one edge, see photo. Please see all photos and ask any questions BEFORE bidding. I'll be happy take more photos upon request.
