The Gentle Soul EPIC Stereo BN 26374 Promo - 1968 Vinyl - Played once. Looks unplayed. Jacket - Ex. - Some foxing on back cover. Promo stamp on back. (See pics) In 1966, singer/songwriters, Pamela Polland and Rick Stanley became The Gentle Soul, a folk band with psychedelic influences and an emphasis on creative and elaborate vocal harmonies. Their self-titled album appeared on Epic Records together with a number of non-LP singles. Produced by Terry Melcher. The group consisted of Riley Wildflower, Pamela Polland, Rick Stanley and Sandy Konikoff For a short time, the group included Jackson Browne. The Gentle Soul recordings have become a coveted classic, and the original vinyl album is now a pricey collector’s item.
With their beguilding blend of sunshine pop and folk/psych, spotlighting the
ethereal harmonies of Pamela Polland and Rick Stanley, the Gentle Soul
recorded just one album and a handful of singles. Now they are highly sought
after and regarded as some of the most perfectly realized gems from the
ground-breaking Los Angelos folk-rock scene. This is their exceedingly scarce
lone album from Epic in 1968. This LP is among the rarest and priciest of all time.

The records are not play-graded. They are graded visually according to the following standards: Mint: Still sealed. NM: Record should look virtually unplayed, shiny, glossy, no visible marks. EX: Record may have a few minor marks or scratches but none that break the surface of the vinyl. VG: Record will have some scratches and/or noticeable marks. It should hopefully play through without much background noise. G: It should play through without skipping but have some background noise. Rough: We will only list the rarest records in this condition. We do not grade album jackets but only comment on them.
