Description

Very rare Germs first single from 1977 on the What label. Cat no What 01

After exhaustive research can confirm this is the 3rd pressing produced in the USA in 1977

The matrix identifiers are:

What records 01 A small triangle that could be a 4 then 102754 and What records 01 B small triangle that could be a 4 then 102754-X 

Comes with original lyric sheet with Bobby Pyn credit and Lexitron music publishing credit at the bottom

Vinyl is VG Minus

as there is one pronounced scrape that I've tried to photograph see pic otherwise that side is in great condition. That's on the white label side with black print. On the reverse side which has a plain black label there are two more easily noticeable marks but these are either in the run in grooves or very close to it. If these 3 blemishes were not there the record would be an EX 

Sleeve is quite creased as you can see in the pic but there are no rips or tears so I'd grade it also VG Minus.

The Germs and Darby Crash the singer were icons of the Punk scene. This is where it all began and was I believe the first true US hardcore punk record to be released.
