Description
Vacation is the second album by the American rock band The Go-Go's, released in 1982 on the I.R.S. Records label. The album got to #8 in the US Billboard 200, and was certified gold. The "Vacation" title track was a US summer smash, reaching #8 on the Billboard pop singles chart. Besides the title track, two more singles were pulled from the album at the time: "Get Up and Go" and "This Old Feeling," which were minor hits in the United States. A fourth song featured on the album, the cover version of the 1960s hit, "Cool Jerk," appeared as a single in 1991 to promote the band's first compilation album, Greatest. The single "Vacation" was also issued as what was perhaps as the first cassette single ever. The song "Speeding" is also part of the Fast Times at Ridgemont High soundtrack. This is the 1982 Japanese Vinyl Pressing with Obi-sash on the CBS/SONY Japan label. The catalog # on the spine is: 25AP 2380. The record also comes with the Original inner lyric sleeve with Promo Stickers. Please see pics. I personally have never played this record as I knew it was rare to have fully intact. I also have this on US vinyl. Record is visually graded by Goldmine standards as Near Mint. The cover is graded as VG+. Record was also stored in a heavy duty anvil case since 2006 and comes from a smoke/pet free home. Shipped following business day as soon as payment is received. Media Mail ($6) will take at least 3 to 5 weeks due to being shipped by boat from Hawaii..not air! Priority Mail is $11, not $7 from Hawaii. International bidders please contact.
