The Grateful Dead Europe ‘72 3x LP Late 70s Reissue Tri-Fold Palm Tree Label VG/VG/VG/VG-.

For auction is a very good listeners copy of Europe ‘72 by American rock band, the Grateful Dead. Their third live album and eighth overall was released in November 1972 as a triple-LP. Recorded at several shows during the bands tour of Western Europe in April and May earlier of that year. It features many fan favorites and classic improvised jams. Some notable tracks are, “One More Saturday Night”, “Ramble On Rose”, “Sugar Magnolia”, “Tennessee Jed” and “Truckin” to name only a few. The album charted in the US reaching #24 on the Billboard 200 and the version of “Sugar Magnolia” just cracked the Billboard Hot 100 peaking #91. Europe’72 has been certified 2x platinum in the US with sales of 2 million copies. This copy is a late 70’s reissue with palm tree Warner Bros labels.

Vinyl is play graded VG. Record 1 Side 1 has some light visible surface marks but nothing deep. Side 2 has several pressing dents which do not affect playback. Plays with mild background noise at times that is never overwhelming. Record 2 Side 3 has some light visible surface marks. One goes from Track 2 to end but is not deep and can’t be felt. Side 4 has more noticeable surface marks but again not deep. One pressing dent that doesn’t affect playback. Plays with mild background noise at times that is not overwhelming. On Side 4 it is more apparent. Still VG. Record 3 both sides have a few more visible surface marks but still plays VG. No disc has any skips or jumps. Please see pics.

Trifold cover is in VG- condition. Some obvious shelf wear. There are three pieces of tape along title edge over peeling. All are an inch to two inches in length. Title is still fully legible. No seam splits. On front there is a crease going down the right side. Also creases corners and along front right edge. Upper left corner on back is creased. Ring wear and light stains on both sides and inside. Still solid!! Please see pics.
