The Heroes Self Titled Album featuring the 1979 hit single "Babys had a taste of something New.
And the ever famous "Star and the Slaughter" the song written by the band who played at the Star hotel of Newcastle NSW and about the Star Hotel Riot The Star Hotel riot, occasioned by the closing down of a popular pub, was one of the largest riots in Australian history. An estimated 4,000 people fought with police on the streets of Newcastle, New South Wales on the night of 19 September 1979.
I am selling off my collection of records and this one is possibly one of the rarest I have ever bought back in the retro years
I have here for auction probably one of the rarest records in Australian history and in particular Newcastle NSW's history and to the right person probably one of the most collectable to commemorate the time and under certain circumstances in which it was recorded and the story behind it's making and it is in rather excellent condition for its age. I bought this record the year it was released and I did not play it much at all so therefore very little in the way of crackling and I'm quite sure no skips or jumps. I also remember seeing this band in concert along with the Angels and The Flowers (Icehouse) at Civic Park Newcastle's Mattara concert in 1979
