Description

Up for bidding is a Rare The History Of Syracuse Music Volumes X & XI. (2 LPS 1980)

Syracuse had a great music scene and it is well represented here featuring songs from many local bands that never quite made it out of the area but are dynamite none the less.

Includes bands such as Jam Factory and The Seven that got major record deals but never did crack into the national spotlight. Well known artists Lou Reed with a track from 1964 around the time of his Syracuse University Days. Ronnie James Dio solo as well as a track from early 70s band Elf well before he went on to fame as Rainbow and Black Sabbath front man.

In addition features a local press conference with John Lennon and Yoko Ono from 1971 they were in Syracuse promoting Yoko's art at our Everson musuem. Also a rare Dick Clark (Syracuse U. Alum) interview with Buddy Holly. There is even recordings of various radio stations of the time reporting Elvis Presley's death
