~ Cancon Vinyl Auctions ~ You are bidding on this Rare original U.S.A. Psychedelic Pop 45 by The Hobbits entitled "Frodo Lives " b/w " Jolly Good Fellow " on Zar Records 25, original U.S.A. pressing from 1967.
Very rare and extremely obscure 1st 45 by The Hobbits that was issued only to radio stations. This was the bands first attempt to launch their music career on local air waves. Not succeeding with this first release, the band regrouped and signed on with the Decca label and released many great subsequent releases such as "Down To Middle Earth".
Unlike their more polished subsequent "Sunshine Pop" 45 releases, this particular 45 on Side 1 offers great Psychedelic pumped edge vocal song tracks with all sorts of special electronic chord effects added in....but definitely "Hobbits" style....at it's best!
Side 2 features another great Psych track - but done in a more "Pop" controlled tempo.
This rare original first 45 release from this group had a very small private pressing run...and almost impossible to find in this fabulous condition. It was never issued again on any other label or any other format....you won't see it again on E-Bay
This exceptional 45 is truly worth adding to your existing 45 collection.
An outstanding true near mint copy...except for the original radio station date stamp on both sides of the labels.
