THE HOLLIES - 'BUTTERFLY'
1967 UK 1st *MONO* PRESSING LP
This superior UK 1st MONO pressing from 1967 is on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PMC 7039
Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'Gramophone Co. Ltd..' rims.
The 'KT' tax/price code is present in the centre of the side 2 label.
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed mono cover.
Complete with its original black & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: XEX 659-1 & XEX 660-1

Labels: EXCELLENT
Both are clean & bright with minmal spindle marks and no major faults.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Extremely clean, birght & deep-gloss surfaces undulled and unworn by overplay or poor handling. Close inspection in strong daylight shows up a few harmless surface mark consistent with inner.sleeve removal and the few careful plays this copy has recieved but nothing I would term a scratch. Close inspection directly beneath my halogen desk lamp fails to reveal any other significant marks or wear to either side whatsoever.
Play: VERY GOOD+
This superior mono mix copy has recieved a number of careful plays and apart from a little intermittant peakwear and light background between tracks, there are no further significant or any major faults on this great album.
Cover
VERY GOOD
This striking cover displays general/moderate handling and storagwear. The only significant blemish to the clean & glossy front panel is a small water stain in the lower left corner. The rear panel has some light age-toning and a handwritten name but no other major blemishes. All flipbacks are intact and both seams and the spine are undamaged.
Inner-sleeve
VERY GOOD +
Clean & flat with slight toning & a few unavoidable light storage creases but no splits, tears or writing.
- Strict & grading under strong daylight & directly beneath a halogen desk lamp to UK 'RECORD COLLECTOR' standards.
- I carefully play every record I sell on a $5,000 Rega P9 turntable at volume and list all visual and audible faults.
- All the photos in this listing have been taken by myself and are of the actual items for sale.
- All records are professionally & securely in custom-made record mailing boxes with the disc removed from the cover.
