General Information This 12-inch vinyl LP record includes a compilation of the best hits of the Hollies (prolific top 40 hit-makers on both sides of the Atlantic) through the 60s and 70s. The high-fidelity mono and stereo sound quality of this release is sure to impress any music lover that savors the British Invasion music from the 1960s and their maturation in the 1970s. This record was manufactured and distributed in the USA for Epic Records by CBS, Inc. This particular record is a 1978/1979 reissue of the original release in 1973. The catalog number is PE 32061. This pressing is one variant of a large number of variants that were pressed at the Columbia Records Pressing Plant in Pitman, New Jersey. This variant includes the dark blue Epic labels. The indication on each side’s record label and the indication on each side’s runout are as follows (respectively): Side 1: AL 32061 and P AL 32061-1D; and Side 2: BL 32061 and P BL 32061-1D. The “P” indicates that the record was pressed at Columbia’s Pitman. The names of the songs for each side can be found in the photos. The record includes the original inner sleeve and album cover. The album has always been stored in a climate-controlled environment within a smoke-free home and will be shipped through USPS Media Mail.    Condition Details The vinyl for the record is made of durable material and has been graded as Very Good Plus (VG+), ensuring that it will play well for years to come. The disc has visible minor scratch and scuff defects that do not interfere with the high-quality playback, i.e., none of the defects provide for any pops, ticks, or skips during playback. Accordingly, the overall sound quality of the record is excellent. Both sides of the record were played immediately prior to creating this listing. In addition, the labels are pristine, i.e., they are defect-free, clean, and fully legible with little indication of wear, i.e., no scratches or scuffs and no spindle wear. The record will ship with a new clear anti-static polypropylene inner sleeve which is provided as a courtesy. The original plain white inner sleeve is fully intact and graded as VG+. It has some minor wrinkling, and some age-related discoloration (browning and/or yellowing). The original album cover is graded as VG+ due to visible ring wear and some age-related discoloration. In addition, the cover includes some minor wear along the seams, at the record pocket opening, along the spine, and at the corners. The record will ship with a new clear anti-static polypropylene outer sleeve which is provided as a courtesy.
