Description
Label: Lute 101. Condition Cover/Record: VG+/VG. Mono. Disc has some random surface marks and retains most of its gloss. The most obvious flaw is what appears to be either heat damage or a pressing flaw at the beginning of the first track on both sides. It plays and tracks fine but there is a "sssh" sound for several revolutions which is mostly drowned out by the music. The rest of the disc plays fine. The labels have the initials BW written on both sides but it is black print on mostly black background and is not "in your face" visible.. The cover has a crease in both the upper and lower right corners. There is a one inch split in the upper right seam and a two inch crack in the paper in the lower middle seam. The spine has some light wear with fully legible print. The picture on the front cover is very nice with almost no wear. The back cover has some light discoloration, most likely from age.
All grading is based on close visual inspection under a revealing light. I grade nothing as being absolutely mint and my almost 40 years of collecting tell me that my grading standards are on the conservative side. All records are original U.S. first pressings unless otherwise stated. Domestic shipping cost for one record is $4.00 via "media" mail. I will be happy to quote a price for priority mail and will combine multiple purchases in order to reduce shipping cost. Records are shipped in custom record boxes with cardboard insert. Vinyl is removed from cover to avoid seam splits in transit. For some reason ebay is making it very difficult for me to set a price for foreign shipments so it states that I do not ship overseas. However I will ship overseas and the cost is $22.00 for one record via "first class international" mail. Registration may be required on foreign shipments at an additional cost of $11.00.
Grading criteria. NM (Near Mint) - a near perfect, possibly unplayed record. M- (Mint Minus) - a shade off of NM with just a few very light hairline marks. VG++ (Very Good Plus Plus) – just below M- with superficial signs of use that shouldn’t affect play. VG+ (Very Good Plus) - a very nice copy with slight scuff marks and other minor visible signs of wear, but in acceptable condition for many collectors. VG (Very Good) - a reasonable copy with obvious signs of wear and the possibility of light surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages, but still a nice copy to have until a better copy comes along.
