The Honeycombs, That Loving Feeling, Pye, demo

Here is an A-label British demo pressing of That Loving Feeling, by the Honeycombs, released 1966. It’s still in the original Pye range-bag. Catalogue number 7N 17173.

This was the Honeycombs’ last record. No producer is credited, but Joe Meek was definitely involved – he wrote the B-side, Should A Man Cry.

I don’t believe that this record, either side, has been played – the labels are clean and there are no spindle marks. But it’s not been brilliantly cared for – the vinyl has a few blemishes, the B-side visibly. Still I think the overall condition is probably VG+ or Ex-.

Note that the A-side has been date-stamped 23 Sep 1966 by the Pye press office – this was the record’s release date.
