The Impalas  "Sorry ( I Ran All The Way Home)"

This is an original US vinyl pressing on Cub Records 8003  from 1959.     It is the Mono pressing.    This was their one and only album.    Cub Records pressed very few albums !!    This album is very hard to find and books for up to $400 in Goldmine price guides.

The Impalas are an early racially integrated doo wop group from Brooklyn, New York.     There biggest hit single was "Sorry ( I Ran All The Way Home ), which reached #2 on Billboard on 4/13/59.       The group is Joe Frazier, Richard Wagner, Lenny Renda, and Tony Carlucci. 

Overall Condition is : Cover is VG /  Record is VG

The cover is VG with no ring wear, no writing , and no seam splits.   The front cover is semi glossy.     It has a small price sticker at top right ( $3.14 ).     There are tiny age spots on front and back cover.       The vinyl looks VG and it plays VG, with light background static throughout.     There are lots of light scuffs and tiny hairlines.      It plays fine with no pops, skips, or jumps.    So, it's been played alot, but it still plays fine.      The labels are clean with lots of light spindle marks.  The A-side label has a 1/4 inch split at the center hole, which looks like it came that way from the factory.      The record comes in an old style MGM inner sleeve. 

The songs are :  Sorry ( I Ran All The Way Home ), Sandy Went Away, Woodchuck Song, Fool Fool Fool, She Belongs To Me, Cupid, Oh What A Fool, The Loves We Share, Chum, All But Memory Of You, Mommy-O, and (You Want) Too Much Too Soon.

I started collecting records in 1966.     I started selling in Goldmine in 1985.      I now sell records at all Northwest record conventions : Portland, Seattle, Tacoma, Eugene, Grants Pass, and Canby.       And at Crossroads Music in Portland, Oregon.     My records are from a no smoking and no pets home.  

Packaging :

I take great care on every package and I do each one personally.     I will package this record between two pieces of hand cut cardboard.    One sheet is 5/8 inch thick triple strength industrial cardboard.   The other sheet is 1/4 inch double strength cardboard.   Together they are very strong and unbendable.   ( Even the postmen comment on how strong this cardboard is ! )       I always remove the record from the cover and seal them in a clear plastic album sleeve.     The package will be marked in red : "Fragile Record" on both sides. 

Postage :  Weight : 1 pound 4 ounces

You have to pay for the postage.     I pre-weigh every record, so that you pay the exact amount the post office changes.   There are no handling charges.     This record will weigh 20 ounces ( 1 pound, 4 ounces ) when ready to ship.   US bidders can figure out your own postage costs for US Priority or Media Mail.    All US winners will get shipping through Paypal and a email with the tracking number.      Overseas bidders must use First Class Mail International.   I will let you know the date I mailed your record and the US customs number.   ( Buyers from Italy must assume all risks for shipping to their country. )      I will send your record as soon as you pay ( same day if before 2 PM and next day if after 2 PM : Monday thru Saturday)   I will combine shipping if you win more than one record.      Please wait for me to send you an invoice for all of your records in one package.
