You are bidding on the rare LP:
The J Ann C Trio At / Tan-Tar-A, released by Burdland Records (695B-5926) (SR4M-5926/7) out of Jefferson City, MO in the mid-1960's. Original Pressing!
*First of all, this record is incredibly rare & sought-after. Even though it was released on the strangely named "Burdland" label, it was essential released by the Tan-Tar-A resort in Osage Beach, Lake of the Ozarks, MO as a promotional tool for the resort and its highly unique entertainment act, The J Ann C Trio. This group performed in wide variety of styles, including Garage Rock, Rockabilly, Surf, Psychedelic, Lounge, Country, Pop Vocal, etc., including some seriously amazing renditions of the following tunes- "Funnel of Love", an obscure cult favorite of fans of Wanda Jackson, features a fantastic vocal performance of Rockabilly-style wild hiccups & screams, with a very rockin' backing! The lead singer, Ann Delrene, actually sounds a lot like miss Wanda Jackson, on both her incredible garage performances ("Hey Bo Diddely") and her hillbilly-tinged Country tunes ("Jambalaya", "Cheatin Heart"). "Voo Doo Doll" is an utterly fantastic & ominous, slow garage rocker, complete with some very trippy, spooky, schreechin' guitar sounds by the band's guitar master, Carl Russell. "Night Train" is a very heavy groover with some excellent waves of psychedelic guitar. Even their cover of "If I Had a Hammer" is done in the straight-up rock & roll style! The slow love songs ("More", "Moon River" "Girl From Ipanema") are beautifully performed and really showcase Delrene's amazing vocals. Some of these love songs, especially "The Tide", have a sweet & distinctive "Oldies" sound to them. This LP is a serious winner, friends! The thick Vinyl is visually graded in VG+ condition. When looked at under a very bright light, the vinyl shows a very rich luster and a few, incredibly light surface marks. The Vinyl has also been play-graded in VG+ condition, and I can guarantee that this record sounds wonderful, glorious and absolutely perfect!
The Cover is graded in VG+ condition, showing some very minor writing on the back (see photo) and some incredibly minor edge & ring wear.
