Description
Up for sale is a definitive collector’s copy of The Jam’s 1979 masterpiece, Setting Sons. This is a guaranteed UK first pressing, featuring the highly sought-after embossed front cover—a feature only found on the very first production run before Polydor switched to flat sleeves.
CONDITION:
Vinyl (NM): Stunning, deep mirror-like lustre. Appears unplayed under strong light. No marks, scratches, or hairlines. High-quality audio expected from the original Strawberry Mastering.
Sleeve (NM): Exceptionally rare in this state. The white embossed cover remains bright and crisp with sharp corners and a perfectly intact spine. No ring wear or "foxing" commonly found on this title.
Inner Sleeve: Includes the original matte lyric inner in fantastic condition.
PROVENANCE & IDENTIFIERS:
Matrix: POLD 5028 A//1 / POLD 5028 B//3
Runout: Stamped "STRAWBERRY" on both sides.
Labels: Original picture labels are clean with no spindle wear.
This is a "final upgrade" copy for any serious Jam completist. Items in this condition are becoming increasingly difficult to find on the open market.
SHIPPING:
Will be sent professionally packed in a dedicated record mailer with stiffeners, vinyl removed from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits during transit.
