Description

An extremely rare Italian issue of the classic 'Strangetown' single by The Jam.  I've been a huge Jam fan and collector for nearly 30 years and in my opinion this is the rarest of all the European single releases by the band and rarely comes up for sale (it took me many years and much money to get my own copy).  This is easily rarer than the French Pretty Green promo, much rarer than the Italian Eton Rifles/All Around The World/Modern World, Irish Tubestation/That's Entertainment, Spanish When You're Young etc etc. I only know of one other copy which has come up on Ebay in recent year (see this link for details:- http://www.popsike.com/php/detaildata.php?itemnr=300229839067).

The front of the sleeve is pretty much identical to the standard UK version, but the rear sleeve is unique as it is a repeat of the front with a large white border (see photos).  As far as condition goes the sleeve has some minor edge & ring wear (see photos), but is generally in very good condition.  The disc is in excellent condition apart from one small mark on the a side (which can just be seen to the right of the Polydor logo on the picture of the front sleeve). Polydor 2059 095, 1979. A must for any serious Jam collection.
