From Pacific Jazz Records (PJM-402) this is RITUAL by THE JAZZ MESSENGERS featuring ART BLAKEY, a beautiful original mono deep groove pressing from 1956. Jacket is sturdy and attractive showing no split seams and a strong spine (NEAR MINT MINUS); the labels have a few light spindle marks, o/w clean. Playing surfaces show a few hairline marks made by sliding the wax in and out of an unfriendly sleeve, not by a stylus. Play grades at least EX+ with low-volume extraneous noise between cuts. There is absolutely no distortion even in the more dynamic passages and even when played at higher volumes. Overall, a solid piece fine for collecting and great for your listening and grooving pleasure.
