This is one the few Columbia recording dates they made, possibly their first, and features the  tight, driving hard-bop playing they became known for.
Record grade: VG+ Nice copy, very well recorded, and typical of these early deep-groove Columbia records, plays beautifully.
Cover notes:  Sturdy and straight album jacket, but compromised with tape on 2 sides, and fully split top seam.  Some writing on back.
