Description
Hello there and welcome to my auction. Please read my descriptions carefully before you bid. Please make sure you read everything especially the condition of each vinyl. The grading and criteria are below.
This is an auction for: The Jeff Beck Group – Truth – RARE Stereo Vinyl LP album from 1968.
First pressing on Blue Columbia label.
A1, B1 Matrixes.
Stereo
Features Rod Stewart on vocals. Simply superb album.
Vinyl Condition: G/VG (The record has been well played over the years and has lots of light marks and some light scratches, lines etc but nothing major. The record plays great with good sound quality. There are no sticks or jumps. There is a slight thud just for 1 second half way through the first track on side 1 due to a small scratch. Apart from that the record plays fine with just the odd click, pop and hiss in places. Obviously it has been well played and the sound isn’t as crystal clear as it would have been when new but still plays just fine and sounds great. The labels on side 1 have a few pen marks and there are spindle marks on both sides. Overall this copy is better than many that I have seen over the years and is a pleasure to listen to).
Inner Sleeve Condition: VG (Inner sleeve in a plain white polylined replacement as the original was damaged).
Outer Sleeve Condition: G (Front laminated flip-back sleeve has lots of creases to the laminate and some lifting in places. There is a sticker to the top left corner. The back of the sleeve lots of stain marks and some yellowing due to age but is otherwise ok. Overall sleeve is showing its age a bit but is in decent condition for its age).
I grade my vinyl’s as follows:
M = Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Unplayed and sealed records are referred to as Mint.
Ex = Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have minimal wear and/or creasing.
VG = Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects.
G = Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
Fair = The record shows signs of extensive play and may have many marks and deep scratches but will still play ok but with significantly lower sound quality. Artwork will be rather worn with possible splits, small rips, scrapes, dents, or maybe water damage.
