The Jimi Hendrix Experience 180 Gram Vinyl Disc Box Set Complete Mint Minus US 2000 MCA
Box in great shape, very little bowing(only just a slight bit at the top of the front/top piece) that usually comes with items of this weight years later. Satin purple storage guideband is necessarily wrinkled in one spot. Records have been stored outside the box(and also outside of their respective color sleeves as well, they have only been stored inside the white w/ mylar protective sleeves), which may explain the true-to-original square status of the box's cardboard at this time. This did result in a slight "middle dip"/bowing in the color sleeves, however. With a disc inserted back inside, it looks better (see photo).The entire package has seen very little handling. The covers are brand new looking otherwise, the discs have no scratches except for 3 areas (see further description below) which seem to have been created at manufacturing, not by me(original owner).The discs have been played and enjoyed once, and for testing today for this listing. The mastering is superb, lots of the full range of dynamics that could exist (esp. on the alternate take of "Purple Haze" where the bass drum moves a lot more air than what you would be used to on the original Track or Reprise pressings) are present and super quiet vinyl(180 gram). Hype sticker extracted from original shrink is included. Every flaw (and there aren't many here) I can spot is listed as well as every attribute.
Discs: Visually: All 8 are glossy Mint with zero scratches except for these 3 pressing anomalies:
1.Disc 6 Side A: a scratch-like spot (1 inch as they all are) on the opener, "Purple Haze (live)".No sound made. Dead silent at the beginning needledrop. A definite cosmetic-only issue.
2. Disc 6 Side B: a scratch on the opener "Earth Blues" and into "Message Of Love". However, no sound is produced at all. Another cosmetic-only issue.
3.Disc 8 Side A: a scratch-like spot on the opener "Hey Baby"/"In From The Storm" (live).Again, about an inch long and making zero sound. Another cosmetic-issue/pressing anomaly spot.
