The UK issue was mastered, produced & distributed for Track by Polydor, who subsequently branded the UK release after the demise of Track. Polydor branding was also used for roll-outs in the European market. Polydor, of course, having its roots in Germany.         

Notes

   Gatefold sleeve, featuring the controversial image (censored by some outlets at the original time of release) of naked ladies on front/back.

Cover is gloss on all outside faces.

Hendrix portrait on left-hand side (front cover behind it).
Large sepia images of Redding & Mitchell on right (rear cover behind it), with white tracks/credit text below them. Erratic use of upper & lower-case in titles.

Discs in plain white paper punch-hole sleeves. 


Titles: "The" is prefixed to "Burning Of The Midnight Lamp" and "Cross Town" appears as two words.

Recorded: Initial tracks at Olympic Studios, London, January 1968. Completed at Record Plant Studios, Studio A, New York, June to August 1968.
